Razer Boomslang 2000 Review

Introduction:

Generally, there is a great deal of misconception regarding the Razer Boomslang 1000 and the Razer Boomslang 2000.  The product name would imply that the 2000 model offers better performance than the 1000 which costs considerably less and has some hardware modifications.

The main difference, however, between the two pointing devices is that they accomodate different styles of gaming.  The Boomslang 1000's lower sensitivity offers superb accuracy and allows precise tracking of moving targets.  The Boomslang 2000 on the other hand is geared towards players with a "fast-twitch" style of play.  The ultra high settings of the 2000 allow unparalleled speed in view and movement.  It's almost absurd to think that these devices can make such a difference in gaming performance.  After 4 months of using both devices I am confident in saying that each device really does offer its own unique gaming perspective.

Here's how it looks from the Boomslang 2000's point of view.
