Introduction:
It's quite a simple idea really. A
company, tired of the poor performance of the mouse peripheral, decides
that it is going to forge ahead and create a product which to this
day has no equal. And so the Razer Boomslang was born.
The Razer Boomslang was first introduced in 1999 and was targeted
mostly at gamers. It was quickly embraced by the gaming
community and became the de facto standard. Boomslang's
are currently used by the top professional gamers worldwide and after
two years nothing has even come close to rivaling its dominance.
In 2000 when the economy
entered a recession after the "Tech Boom" Razer was hard
hit and stopped manufacturing the boomslang. Razer spent
a year finding an investment group to support its products and had
almost lost hope when it came upon Synergy Media. Synergy
Media along with Leftbid Corp. are now backing Razer which has officially
begun manufacturing the Razer Boomslang again.
