Features and Specifications:

Wireless Freedom Free yourself from desktop clutter and extra cables. The two-channel common radio frequency reduces interference and allows you to place the receiver out of sight. Handy battery status indicators let you know when your batteries need to be replaced (Wireless IntelliMouse® Explorer only).
IntelliEye Optical Technology Now you can experience the benefits of the world's most powerful optical technology. The IntelliEye® optical sensor replaces your old-fashioned mouse ball. Capturing 6,000 frames per second, it delivers up to four times the performance of other optical mice. This superior tracking speed translates into smooth, accurate cursor performance. You won't need a mouse pad because you can use it on most surfaces.
Power Saving Features Breakthrough power saving technology conserves battery life. Intelligent Touch engages the optical technology when you touch the mouse and puts the mouse into "sleep" mode when you remove your hand. Intelligent Illumination allows the mouse to illuminate brightly on a dark surface and dimly on a light surface. Intelligent Surface Detection senses when you lift the mouse off the surface below and responds by placing it into "sleep" mode.
Ergonomic Design Designed by Microsoft® ergonomics experts, the arched shape provides support in a natural, comfortable position.
Enhanced Grip Comfortable finger grooves on the primary and secondary buttons help position your fingers and keep them in place. The scalloped sides, with their unique soft-touch material, provide exceptional comfort and grip support. These enhanced grip features help to keep the hand and forearm naturally aligned.
2 Extra Buttons Now you can do even more with your mouse. The two extra buttons let you go Back and Forward in your Internet browser without clicking the toolbar. Or you can reassign them to a command or keystroke you use more frequently.
Customizable Buttons Using the included IntelliPoint mouse software, you can customize the mouse buttons to fit your personal working style. You can reassign all of the buttons - including the wheel button - to perform a command or open a file or Web page. You can even specify different button commands for different programs. Most popular commands are supported - including special Office XP commands. Alternately, you can record a keystroke, such as CTRL P (Print), and assign it to any button.
Faster Wheel Scrolling Simply roll the wheel to move around in documents - no more clicking the on-screen scroll bar repeatedly - saving you time and effort. Accelerated scrolling reacts to how quickly you roll the wheel, allowing faster movement in Web pages, documents, and other computer programs. This increases scrolling speed on an average of 28 percent (on three or more pages).
USB Connector Plugs into the rectangular Universal Serial Bus (USB) port on either a Windows- or Macintosh-based computer.
Powered By: 2AA Batteries (Included)
