Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer Review

The Wireless Intellimouse Explorer from the top and the bottom.  Two double-a batteries fit in a small compartment beneath the optical sensor.  2AA batteries last between 3-4 months depending on how extensively the mouse is used.  With Microsoft's power saving features on the mouse conserves its battery life by going into a standby mode when not in use.

To see how the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer looks compared to its two brothers the Intellimouse Explorer v 1.0 and the Intellimouse Explorer v 3.0 I took some pictures.  Of notable difference is the "humped" back end and the countours for a comfortable grip.

Here are two more three somes.  You know what they say about mice multiplying...

A picture of the mouse with its receiver.  The receiver has a range of about 6 feet and should be at least 8 inches away from the mouse.  The signal being sent from the mouse to the receiver can, in rare cases, interfere with other household devices such as Televisions and Grandma's pacemaker.  It is best to make sure that the device does not interfere with anything else once setup.
