Microsoft Office Keyboard Review

Introduction:

Microsoft has finally released a new addition to its aging line of keyboards; the Microsoft Office Keyboard.  While this keyboard doesn't have the ergonomic key placement like its predecessor, (the MS Natural Pro/Elite Keyboard) it has been engineered with comfort and ergonomics in mind.  It is important to keep in mind that this keyboard is for Microsoft Office use.  If we were to review this keyboard thinking in a different mindset (i.e. Gaming, Graphic Design, Average Windows User, etc.) the keyboard wouldn't fare as well.  This is a little bit odd since most keyboards are designed to be all-purpose.  Read on to find out how the keyboards design both aids and impedes functionality.

The special edition black keyboard comes bundled with a Wireless Intellimouse Explorer and retails for $80-120 USD. This review will only address the keyboard since the Wireless Intellimouse Explorer is being reviewed in a round up that will be released Friday. A complete review of the bundle will be released on Saturday.

The keyboard comes complete with Microsoft IntelliType Pro 2.1 Software and a PS/2 to USB adapter.  There is a manual which briefly touches on some of the new features of the keyboard. There is also a form to request a PS/2 to AT Adapter free of charge in case you use an older computer with the AT port.

Now that we've let it out of the box lets see some naked pictures.
