LiUtilities' WinTasks 4 Professional is an advanced form of the process viewer that is integrated into Microsoft Windows. Most of us are familiar with the Windows Task Manager since it is indisposable when you have to kill a program that is no longer responding. WinTasks 4 Professional furthers the functionality of such a utility by including more in depth features that help you to analyze and maintain your system.

     - Remove unnecessary processes instantaneously

     - Create presets to optimize all common tasks

        trojans, and other security threats.
     - Use process logs to find out which processes have
        been executed.
     - Create custom scripts to automatically terminate
        unwanted processes.

  Optimize and Debug Software:
     - Optimize CPU usage and find memory leaks using
        real-time resource statistics and logs.
     - Simplify debugging by inspecting DLLs, windows
        and other resources used by any process.

Packaging:
LiUtilities' WinTasks 4 Professional is packaged in a DVD Case which contains a user manual and the data CD. A more in depth .PDF version of the manual is available, but the included manual is nearly identical. I've included a scan of the box insert for those who are curious:

Software:

The Wintaks Professional 4 program running. As you can see from this screenshot there are many features which are available to you. This little program does pack quite a punch.

The autostart tab allows you to take control over programs and services that automatically start up in Windows. Many of these programs are buried quite deep and are transparent to the user. When you use this feature of WinTasks 4 Professional you will be able to see these "invisible" processes and manage them as you see fit.

The modules tab allows you to see what system modules are running in the background. Again, you can use this detailed information for security purposes or to tweak your system for better performance.

The windows tab allows you to view the hidden windows that exist within a program. It's interesting to note how some programs use many invisible windows when only one visible window is in use.

The statistics tab allows you to see graphs of processes which have been running. You can change the statistical graphs to see graphs over varying times.

The scripting features allows you to write your own scripts which are then executed automatically according to your specifications. The possibilities of such a feature are limitless.

Event logging allows you to keep detailed records of what goes on in your system. The logging functions are completely cusomizable and offer a wider variety of features.

LiUtilities' WinTasks 4 Professional is the best Windows Task Managing program that you can buy. However, this program is not without its flaws. On several test computers we found that WinTasks Professional 4 failed to detect hidden Autostart programs which were easily detected and removed using MSConfig.exe

WinTasks Professional 4 offers a suite of features which aren't available in any other program. These main features still don't add up to the expensive price of $57 USD though. I personally would expect WinTasks Professional 4 to Retail for $19.99-$24.99 the $57 Boxed version is way too much to ask for such a basic program.

Very high price
Autostart feature missed some cloaked programs.

Due to the high price we are giving this product a 7/10. If LiUtilities had decided to lower the price to something more reasonable ($19.99-$24.99) we would have given this product a higher score.
