Purpose: This guide is supposed to serve as
a supplement for those who didn't have the chance to go to CeBIT
2002 in Germany and would like to know a little bit more about the
Convention. For those of you who would like to see information
on the exhibits feel free to see the links at the end of the guide.
Introduction:
CeBIT is the world's largest IT and
telecom trade fair. Traditionally it has been held in Hannover,
Germany since its independent inception on the 12th of March, 1986.
Before 1986 CeBIT had existed as part of the "office
equipment industry" exhibitor group and didn't have a formal
name.
For more information on CeBIT's history:

CeBIT is such a large
event that it is housed at the convention center and exhibition
hall in Hannover which is organized by the Deutsche
Messe AG. To appreciate the location more I suggest you look
at images from their 270° panorama webcam.
